No place, no date. On letterhead of the Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London. To "Dear Paul Palmer". In full: "Thank you for your letter. Hope the enclosed in my national costume is to your liking." Jimmy Logan (1928-2001) was a Scottish actor. His stage career began at an early age and he traveled with his family throughout Scotland and Northern Ireland, primarily performing in the tradition of English pantomime. Logan went on develop his acting talent and eventually appeared in a number of films, a few of which include The Wild Affair (1963), Carry On Girls (1973), and The Debt Collector (1999). He was also in the amusing Swedish film Den ofrivillige golfaren (1991). Moreover, Logan made guest-starring appearances on many TV shows and mini-series. On the television series Rab C. Nesbitt, he played the role of Mr. Grogan from 1997 to 1999. Logan published his autobiography It's a Funny Life in 1998. In 1996, an Order of the British Empire was bestowed upon him and, in 1998, he became a Fellow of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Central vertical fold touches the "J" of "Jimmy".
