Newspaper Photograph Signed: "Jiri Bubla" in blue ink. Sepia, 5¼x7½. Affixed to piece of
yellow cardstock. Jiri Bubla (b.1950) is a professional ice hockey player who played all five
seasons of his professional career with the Vancouver Canucks (1981-1986). Before he joined
the NHL, Bubla played thirteen seasons with three Czechoslovakian teams, winning three
world championships in 1972, 1976, and 1977 on the Czechoslovakian National Team.
He also competed with Czechoslovakia in the 1976 and 1980 Olympic Games, medaling in
silver in 1976. In the NHL, Bubla played 256 games, scoring 17 goals and aiding in 101
assists. Very irregularly cut. Corners and edges worn. Toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
