JOAN BENNETT
Black and white publicity photograph of Joan Bennett wearing a print
dress sitting on the back of a couch.
Photograph signed: "Joan Bennett". B/w, 8x10. Veteran
actress Joan Bennett played Madame Blanc in the film about witchcraft at the
Tans Academy in Germany. It was her first feature film, with the exception
of 1970's House of Dark Shadows, since 1967, when she appeared in
Those Fantastic Flying Fools. And, it would be her last movie for the
big screen - Bennett, who had starred in the TV series Dark Shadows
from 1966-1971, made only a handful of made-for-television movies after
appearing in Suspiria. Bennett (1910-1990), the daughter of stage
actor Richard Bennett and sister of screen actresses Constance and Barbara
Bennett, starred in over 40 films, including Bulldog Drummond (1929),
Little Women (1933), Father of the Bride (1950) and We're No
Angels (1955). She was also active on the stage in the 1960s. Imprint at
lower left margin. 3 file nicks at blank right edge. Fine
condition.
