Brooks". Vintage b/w, 8x10. Joan Brooks, sometimes billed as Jo
Brooks, had her own New York-based radio program, introduced as "the girl
with the voice you won't forget." Favorites in her repertoire included "Lili
Marlene" and "A Little on the Lonely Side." She acted as well as sang in two
films, Songs and Saddles (1938) and Ten Cents a Dance (1945).
She married NBC executive Bob Kerr, and together they started a New Jersey radio
station, WKER, in 1964. Slightly creased at corners. Otherwise, fine
condition.
