JOAN CRAWFORD
Black and white publicity photograph of Joan Crawford looking to the left wearing a
black dress and hat.
Photograph inscribed and signed: "For Charles/Monk Jr./Gratefully/Joan Crawford". B/w,
7¾x10. Actress Joan Crawford (1908-1977), originally a professional dancer, made her film
debut in 1925. She won a Best Actress Oscar for Mildred Pierce (1945) and was
nominated for two more (Possessed, 1947; Sudden Fear, 1952). A tell-all memoir,
Mommie Dearest (1978, later made into a feature film), by her daughter Christina, portrayed
Crawford as unfeeling and ruthlessly ambitious. Slightly rippled. Overall, fine condition. Framed
