JOAN WALSH ANGLUND. Autograph Letter signed: "Joan", 2p, 5¾x7¾. Weston, Connecticut, 1981 January 29. To comedian and actress Phyllis Diller. In full: "Morning - alone at breakfast ... sun shines through the window ... squirrels & birds at the bird feeder ... everything dazzling white and silver (from the snow & cold ...) ... (Bob in N.Y. overnight) ... I'm reading the books you gave him. Thank you so much! ... They are so helpful ... (The 'TRUTH' is like a 'key' - such a small thing, & yet it 'unlocks' the 'treasure house'!) ... sweet Phyllis ... you are a WONDERFUL person ... so filled with the 'exuberance' of life ... 'giving out' so much love to so many ... wherever you go! (You are truly doing God's work!) I send you my love on this frosty morning in January ..." [She has drawn a heart and a bird perched on a limb.] Light paperclip strain in upper left of first page. Otherwise, fine condition. Accompanied by autograph envelope signed "Joan Walsh Anglund" in return address, postmarked Stamford, Connecticut, January 30, 1981, addressed in her hand to Phyllis Diller in West Los Angeles, California.
