Accompanied by a letter to comedienne Phyllis Diller on Frank's embossed
stationery and a mailing envelope from the Rachins to Diller.
Christmas card signed "Love/Alan,/Joanna/& Robbie". Color,
4¾x5 overall, 4¾x3¼ image, one surface. Captioned: "Merry/Christmas".
Lightly toned and bowed. Photo is slightly out of focus. Otherwise in fine
condition.Accompanied by: 1) Autograph letter signed "Joanna
Rachins". 2 pages, 7x4¾, on an embossed card from Frank's personalized
stationery. June 5, 1992. In full: "Dear Phyllis- Alan and I enjoyed
meeting you at the La Costa Event so much. Sorry it worked out that we didn't
get to talk much. I'm sure life will bring us together again-maybe after the
summer you'll come over and have a drink &/or dinner with US- After all,
we're a few minutes away. Have a great summer! With much affection". Lightly
creased. Signature and body of letter have bled lightly but are legible.
Otherwise in fine condition. 2) Unsigned envelope. Black ink notations in
top left corner and red ink notations on verso on flap, both in unknown hand.

Dil Prod. Ltd., Los Angeles, California. Envelope is empty. Lightly toned,
soiled and creased. Neatly cut open along top edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
PHYLLIS DILLER, born Phyllis Ada Driver in Lima, Ohio in 1917, is
known for her outrageous appearance, zany outfits, distinctive laugh and a
stand-up act that featured frequent references to her fictional husband "Fang"
and zingers about her sex appeal and numerous plastic surgeries. JOANNA
FRANK, born in New York City in 1941, is primarily a TV actress who
has made many guest appearances including 19 appearances as Sheila Brackman on
LA Law (1986-1994). Her prominent big screen roles include The
Savage Seven (1968) and Always (1985). She is married to actor Alan
Rachins, whose TV wife she played on LA Law. ALAN RACHINS, born in
1942, is one of the more passionate and versatile professionals in the
entertainment business. After quitting college and moving to New York to study
acting, he performed in a number of Broadway and off-Broadway productions -
including the controversial Oh! Calcutta. In 1972, he was
accepted at the American Film Institute in writing and directing-going on to
sell scripts to an array of shows including Hill Street Blues, Fall
Guy, Hart to Hart and Knight Rider. Ultimately returning to
the performance side, Rachins won Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for
his recurring role in L.A. Law (1986-1994), and is still seen in
syndication of Dharma & Greg (1997-2002). Rachins has appeared in a
long series of features and television movies, continually adding to the
list.
