BASEBALL HALL OF FAMERS: MICKEY MANTLE, WILLIE MAYS, DUKE SNIDER, and JOE DiMAGGIO
Signed color photo of the greatest men to play the game - Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Duke Snider, Joe DiMaggio - during an old-timer's game. A real piece of baseball history. Signed by all four in blue ink. Matted to 13¼x11¼ in a black-and-white matte.
Photograph signed: "Duke Snider", "Joe DiMaggio", "Willie Mays" and "Mickey Mantle". Color, 9½x7¼ (visible) photo matted to 13¼x11¼ in a black-and-white matte. Taken at an unknown old-timer's game. MICKEY MANTLE (1931-1995), a New York Yankees slugger from 1951 to 1968, won the Triple Crown in 1956 and a World Series Grand Slam in 1953. He had a career batting average of .298 with 536 home runs and 1,509 career RBIs. The switch-hitting "Commerce Comet" accumulated a long list of accomplishments, including three MVP awards and a Triple Crown (1956). He contributed to 12 pennants and seven World Series titles in his first 14 seasons while establishing numerous World Series records, including most home runs (18). He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974. WILLIE MAYS, born in 1931, a star on the New York/San Francisco Giants from 1951 to 1972, led the league in stolen base titles in 1956, 1957, 1958 and 1959. His career batting average was .302, and Mays hit 660 home runs and 1,903 career RBIs. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1979. DUKE SNIDER (born in 1926), who played for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers from 1947 to 1962, had a career batting average of .295 and hit 407 career homers and 1,333 RBIs. "The Silver Fox" led the league with 136 RBIs in 1955, and he hit four home runs in the 1952 and 1955 World Series games. Snider was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980. JOE DiMAGGIO (1914-1999) played centerfield for the New York Yankees from 1936 to 1942 and 1946 to 1951 with a lifetime batting average of .325. The Hall of Famer (inducted in 1955), who was elected to the All-Star team every year, was American League batting champion in 1939 and 1940 and home run leader in 1948. DiMaggio also holds the major league consecutive game-hitting streak of 56 (1941), called baseball's greatest feat by many. He was Most Valuable Player in 1939, 1941 and 1947.
