The Hall of Famer waselected to the All-Star team every year, was American League batting champion in 1939 and 1940 and home run leader in 1948. Heholds the major league consecutive game-hitting streak of 56 (1941); called baseball's greatest feat by many. He was Most Valuable Player in 1939, 1941, and 1947. At Baseball's 1969 Centennial Celebration, he was named the game's greatest living player. Irregularly cut. Print on verso shows through faintly. Otherwise, fine condition.
