JOE MORGAN
Program from the 50th anniversary of the Baseball Hall of Fame, signed by the Hall of
Fame second baseman on the front cover
Program signed: "Joe Morgan", 30 pages, 8x10. Program for the 50th Anniversary Celebration
of the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, New York, June 9-11, 1989. Signed on the
front cover. In more than two decades as a Major League second baseman (1963-1984), Joe
Morgan (1943-2020) won five Gold Gloves and made the All-Star team ten times. He won
consecutive National League Most Valuable Player Awards in 1975-1976. Not
coincidentally, his Cincinnati Reds "Big Red Machine" won the World Series both of
those years. Four times he led the league in On Base Percentage, which was very bad
news for opponents since he stole 689 bases in his career. He even led the league in slugging
percentage in 1976. Now an Emmy Award-winning baseball analyst for ESPN, Morgan was
elected to the Hall of Fame in 1990. Fine condition.
