JOE PISCOPO. Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Pedro -/Joe
Piscopo". B/w, 8x10. Comedian and actor Joe Piscopo (born in 1951) is
best known for his work on Saturday Night Live (1980-1984). He had
worked as a stand-up comic and in regional and improvisational comedy before
joining the cast of SNL, where he was famed for his parodies of
such personalities as Frank Sinatra, Abraham Lincoln and Barbra Streisand.
Piscopo has also appeared in a number of feature films, including
Johnny Dangerously (1984), Wise Guys (1986), Dead Heat
(1988), Sidekicks (1992), Open Season (1995), Bartleby
(2001) and Dead Lenny (2006), and he has guest starred on a number of
TV series, from Star Trek: The Next Generations (1988) to Law
& Order (2004). Piscopo, a native of Passaic, New Jersey, also produced,
wrote and starred in the TV special, The Joe Piscopo New Jersey Special
(1986), and he has appeared as himself on a number of other specials. Lightly
creased at upper left corner and upper right margin, faint paper clip impression
at background at upper edge. Overall, fine condition.
