Check signed "Joey Bishop". 8x3 with perforated left edge. Feb. 24, 1967. Check no. 110 for $117.30, made out to Bette Joy Senese and drawn on the account of Joey Bishop Productions, Inc. at the Wilshire & Bedford Branch of Security First National Bank in Beverly Hills, California. According to a manuscript memo in the upper left corner, this is a paycheck, with gross pay of $150 and $37.70 in deductions. Nightclub comedian Joey Bishop (1918-2007, born Joseph Abraham Gottleib in The Bronx, New York), a member of Frank Sinatra's celebrated "Rat Pack", appeared in films in four decades, from The Naked and the Dead (1958) to Mad Dog Time (1996), including Rat Pack films Ocean's Eleven (1960) and Sergeant's Three (1962). He also starred in two TV programs called The Joey Bishop Show, the first a sitcom (1961-1965), the second a late night talk show (1967-1969). Lightly creased. Normal bank stamps and cancellation holes, which touch signature. Folded once and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
