Washington, D.C., 1968 January 10. On letterhead as U.S. Circuit Judge,
District of Columbia to Danny Franklin, Sunnyslope, Arizona. In full:
"Thank you very much for your birthday greetings. No individual pictures
of the judges being available, I am sending you a picture of the court which was
provided for us by the West Publishing Company. I affixed my autograph under my
name as printed. [Item not included.] Since I look the same right now as
I did when the photo was taken, it will have to suffice. With best wishes,
believe me, Very truly yoursJohn Anthony Danaher (1899-1990) represented
Connecticut for one full term in the US Senate (1939-1945) as a Republican.
President Eisenhower appointed him District Court judge in 1953 where he
served until his retirement in 1980. Fine condition.
