Lobby Card signed: "God Bless/John Agar". Color, 14x11. Promoting Hold Back Tomorrow. © 1955, Universal Pictures Co., Inc. In the film, Agar played a death row inmate whose last request is to spend the night with a prostitute, played by Cleo Moore. The two fall in love and are married by the prison Chaplain just before he is hanged. John Agar (1921-2002) was Shirley Temple's first husband (1946-1949). An apparent rising star in such war and Western films as She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949), he appeared mostly in low budget science fiction movies in the 1950s. Agar later reappeared in three Westerns with friend John Wayne (1969-1971) and was often sought for film and TV character roles. Lightly creased, primarily at blank margins. Fine condition.
