First day cover signed: "John Ashcroft" in blue ink. 6½x3½. First Day Cover honoring Harlan Fiske Stone. Postmarked Chesterfield, New Hampshire, August 25, 1948. 3c stamp affixed, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE.
