Painter and illustrator John Groth (1908-1988) was known for his sports and war themes, executed in his "speed line" technique that was later filled in with watercolors. He was the Art Director for "Esquire" magazine and an artist-correspondent during the World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars. Two items.
