Signature: "John Bardeen", 5x3 card. In 1956, Bardeen shared the Nobel Prize in Physics with William Shockley and Walter Brattain for their researches on semiconductors and transistors. In 1972, Bardeen became the only winner of two Nobel Prizes in one field when he shared the Nobel Prize in Physics with Leon N. Cooper and Robert Schrieffer for their theory of superconductivity. On verso: Date stamp, "29 MAY 1970", lightly shows through to blank area, also pencil note (unknown hand, no show-through). Fine condition.
