Autograph note signed "JB". 1 page, 3x3. In full: "Sounds like high class teaching indeed. Your students are [illegible]." American novelist, short story writer and educator Barth, born in 1930, began his career with two short novels, The Floating Opera (1957) and The End of the Road (1958), both dealing with controversial subjects. His later works include Giles Goat-Boy (1966), Chimera (1972) and The Tidewater Tales: A Novel (1987). Lightly creased and bowed. Adhesive residue on verso (no show-through). Otherwise in fine condition.
