Orange index card signed by baseball player John Beradino in a suit and tie. Beradino was nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards for his role as Dr. Steve Hardy on General Hospital.
Signature: "John Beradino" in purple ink.Typed notations on verso. 5x3 card. According to the notations on this card, Beradino signed this card in July of 1975. Emmy-nominated American actor Beradino (1917-1996) was a Major League baseball infielder from 1939 to 1952, with military service from 1942 to 1945. He played with the St. Louis Browns during that time, tallying a batting average of .249 with 755 hits and 36 home runs. Beradino had started acting in 1948, with a role as a trainer in The Winner's Circle, and was able to concentrate on it after sustaining a leg injury and retiring from the majors injured in 1952. He had over 100 movies and TV shows - mostly TV shows - to his credit between 1948 and 1993, with repeat appearances in Damon Runyon Theatre (1955), The Cisco Kid (1955-1956), The Lone Ranger (1956), The Ford Television Theatre (1956-1957), M Squad (1958-1959) and The New Breed (1961-1962), among others. Beradino earned three Daytime Emmy nominations for his performances as Dr. Steve Hardy on General Hospital, a role he played from the show's beginnings in 1963 to his death in 1996. Lightly stained and bowed. Signataure is lightly smeared in places but legible. Otherwise in fine condition.
