JOHN BOLES, CECIL PARKER and CHARLES VICTOR The three stage and screen performers sign this 6x4½ album leaf. Extremely rare! Autograph Note signed: "To Bill/Best regards/from/John Boles/1948" and, on verso, "Best wishes/Cecil Parker" and "Charles Victor", 6x4½. Signed in 1948 by John Boles, a stage actor and singer before making his film debut in 1924. He appeared in a number of feature films for Fox and as a freelancer, including Frankenstein (1931), Stella Dallas (1937), and three Shirley Temple films. Before his acting career took off, Boles studied to become a physician and later served in the United States Army Intelligence Service during WWI for two years. Cecil Parker (1897-1971), debuted on stage before appearing in feature films. His credits include Alfred Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes (1938), Caesar and Cleopatra (1946), The Court Jester (1956), A Tale of Two Cities (1958), The Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders (1965). British actor Charles Victor (1895-1965), who appeared with Parker in Caesar and Cleopatra (1946), had over 100 other roles on television and film over decades. He's most remembered for his parts in The Prince and the Showgirl (1957) and the 49th Parallel (1941). He travelled internationally portraying Alfred P. Doolittle in the musical My Fair Lady, even performing on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1961. Soiled on verso. Worn at upper right corner. Otherwise, fine condition.
