JohnBoles (1895-1969, born in Greenville, Texas), a stage actor and singer before making his film debut in 1924, appeared in a number of feature films for Fox and as a freelancer, including Rio Rita (1929), The Desert Song (1929), Frankenstein (1931), Bottoms Up (1934), and three Shirley Temple films. Before his acting career took off, Boles studied to become a physician and later served in the United States Army Intelligence Service during WWI for two years. Lightly toned, silvered, creased and bowed. Photo is blurred from enlargement. Light impressions (not visible head-on) and scratches on image. Label on verso (no show-through). Otherwise, fine condition.
