Signature: "John Bricker/Ex U.S. Senator/Ohio", 3½x2 card. John Bricker (1893-1986) was Governor of Ohio (1939-1945), Republican candidate for Vice President (1944) and a U.S. Senator of Ohio (1947-1959). His proposed amendment to the U.S. Constitution ("the Bricker Amendment"), which would have required concurrent Congressional legislation before any international agreement became part of U.S. law, failed by one vote in the Senate. Ink is light at the "J" in John. Fine condition.
