JOHN BUCYK
John Bucyk signs a black and white book photograph.
Photograph signed: "Best regards/John Bucyk". B/w, 10¼x8. John Bucyk entered the National Hockey League as a forward for the Detroit Red Wings in 1955. After two seasons in the Motor City, he was traded to the Boston Bruins, for whom he starred for more than 20 years. A clean player who twice won the league's sportsmanship trophy, Bucyk was a key member of the Bruins' Stanley Cup championship teams of 1970 and 1972. When he retired after the 1978 season, he was the team's all-time leading scorer, with 545 goals. (Later surpassed by Ray Bourque, he remains runner-up with that total.) Bucyk has remained with the Bruins organization, filling several broadcasting and front office roles. His #9 jersey has been retired. He entered the Hall of Fame in 1981. Fine condition.
