JOHN CARRADINE - AUTOGRAPH SENTIMENT SIGNED - HFSID 155
Sale Price $72.00
John Carradine signs an autograph sentiment on a piece of paper.
Autograph Sentiment signed: "Best wishes/John Carradine", irregularly cut 5x2¼ slip affixed to 5x4 card, to which a captioned magazine photo (b/w, 1¼x1¾) is also affixed. John Carradine (1906-1988) was happiest performing on stage, yet he made dozens of movies and many TV appearances. He had prominent roles, though not the lead, in such successful films as Captains Courageous (1937), Stagecoach (1939) and The Grapes of Wrath (1940). Though often cast as a villain, he was versatile enough to play a kindly Abe Lincoln (Of Human Hearts, 1938). Many of his performances late in his career were low budget horror flicks. He is the father of actors David, Keith, Robert and Bruce Carradine. Mounting card slightly soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
