Autograph Note signed: "To Friend/Jim-/always/John Carroll", 4¾x2¾, affixed to a 5x3¾ album leaf. John Carroll (1906-1979) drove race cars and studied voice in Europe before becoming a Hollywood stunt man. By the mid-1930s, he had become a leading man in many low-budget action movies. In 1937, he was a singing Zorro in a Republic Pictures serial, Zorro Rides Again. His last starring role was in Decision at Sundown, playing the villain faced off against Randolph Scott. Unevenly cut at edges. Otherwise, fine condition.
