JOHN CATER
He signs a 1985 typed letter.
Typed Letter signed: "John Cater", 1 page, 8x10. London, U.K., 1985 February 12. To Todd Axelrod, Las Vegas, Nevada, in full: "Thank you for your letter of June 19/84. I am sorry to have taken so long to reply but, nearing the end of two years hard labour with the Royal Shakespeare Company, I thought it best to wait until I'd time to get together something which may be of use to your project. Here are some signed photos, part of an old marked script of mine from 'The Duchess of Duke Street' (shown extensively on PBS television in the USA) and a letter which I hope gives an interesting slant on my current preference in the straight theatre. [Items mentioned are not included.] I wish you luck and good fortune with the Museum, and hope to have the opportunity to visit some time in the future. Yours sincerely". A familiar face on British TV adventure series of the 1960s (Dr. Who. The Avengers), Cater has played supporting roles in many films since, often horror movies. Recent appearances have included Goodnight Mister Tom (1998) and Fogbound (2002). He has made many stage appearances with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Fine condition.
