In full: " 'When You are there' (Song)/ One faithful heart knows/Dearer than all/ One love that will not go/whatever be fall/keep though my path may be/shall not case/Life holds that joy for me/when you are there'. He built the Castle Street Mills and the Bankwood Mill in the town. The Cheetham Park & Eastwood Nature Reserve is one of the nation's oldest RSPB areas and was presented to Satlybridge by the Cheetham family. John Cheetham was not only a one-time MP for Salford but also a local philanthropist; he helped to establish local libraries and art galleries. George Formby Sr. (1875-1921) was a music hall comedian and the father of fellow stage performer George Formby Jr. One of his most famous costumes was an inspiration for Charlie Chaplin's character the Tramp. Formby Sr.'s career lasted over 25 years! His son is better known, perhaps because the elder Formby's career reached its peak well before the era of silent film. Lightly toned and worn blue paper. Otherwise, fine condition.
