Photograph signed: "John Cusack". Color, 10x8. Actor John Cusack (born in 1966), the son
of actor and filmmaker Richard Cusack and the younger brother of actress Joan Cusack,
began his career on the stage before appearing in a number of teen movies during the heyday
of Hollywood's Brat Pack. After making his debut in Class (1983), he appeared in Sixteen
Candles (1984), Better Off Dead (1985), and Stand By Me (1986). Known for playing
underdogs and "odd men out", Cusack also starred in Grosse Pointe Blank (1997), Con Air
(1997), Being John Malkovich (1999), High Fidelity (2000), 2012 (2009), and 1408 (2007).
Cusack founded Chicago-based theatre group The New Criminals and started sister
company New Crime Productions for films. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for
his performance in High Fidelity. In 2012, he was awarded a Star on the Walk of Fame.
