JOHN DAHEIMAFTRA membership application signed by the stuntman and actor in 1953 Document signed” "John Daheim" in pencil. 2 pages, 6½x8¾, 1 sheet, front and verso. Feb. 2, 1953. Membership form for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. In 1953, Daheim was an actor and stuntman in four movies: Seminole, Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, A Perilous Journey and City of Bad Men. He also appeared in a fifth movie, The Man from Alamo. Daheim (1916-1991), also billed as John Day, was a top stuntman, stunt coordinator and stunt double, doubling for Tim Holt in seven of his movies between 1948 and 1950 and with stunt credits in almost 100 movies, serials and TV shows between 1940 and 1977. He also appeared in over 160 movies, serials and TV shows between 1939 and 1981, many of them as an uncredited player. Lightly toned and creased. Red ink stains in top right corner. Light nicks in top left corner and left edge. Lead pencil and purple ink notations in unknown hand. Otherwise, fine condition.
