JOHN DOUCETTE
Signed Very Rare autograph note to radio/TV host George Sanders, with
a newspaper photo attached to the page
Autograph Note signed: "Dear George/Memories are so/beautiful and
kind/to us all. All I can/say is thanks for all the/love of the past, from
Pasadena/to Portland./Sincerely in friendship/John Doucette", 1 page, 7x9.
Captioned b/w newspaper photo affixed in lower right. Character actor John
Doucette (1921-1994) had a husky build and rough appearance which often earned
him bad guy roles. He made repeat appearances on TV's Lone Ranger as
a villain. Doucette had small roles in many big movies, including High
Noon, Cleopatra and Patton. He appeared in several John Wayne
films, including True Grit. Internet Movie Database estimates that he
made 260 acting appearances in films and TV episodes. George Sanders was
a radio and TV host, first in Los Angeles and later in Portland, as Doucette has
noted. Left edge frayed from previous binding. Fine condition.
