Edward Halsell (1826-1899) was a Kentucky politician who served as a
Democratic member of the US House of Representatives from 1883 to 1887. Born
in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Halsell was a local prosecuting attorney for Warren
County for four years, later becoming a circuit judge of the 4th judicial
district of Kentucky in 1870. After his terms in Congress, Halsell was
elected Mayor of Bowling Green in 1888, serving one term. Later he moved to
Fort Worth, Texas where he died at the age of 73. Irregularly cropped. Lightly
toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
