screen and television actor John Fiedler (1925-2005) is best known as the
voice of Piglet in Walt Disney's Winnie-the-Pooh films, his last film,
Pooh's Heffalump Movie, being released in 2005. A stage actor who
appeared as the lone Caucasian in an otherwise all Black cast in the Broadway
play, A Raisin in the Sun, Fiedler made his film debut in 12 Angry
Men in 1957. His other film credits include the film version of A Raisin
in the Sun (1961), That Touch of Mink (1962), The Odd Couple
(1968; reprising his Broadway role) and True Grit and The Great Bank
Robbery (both 1969), The Shaggy D.A. (1976), The Cannonball
Run (1981) and other animated films as well as the Winnie the Pooh movies,
which included his own "starring" feature, Piglet's Big Movie
(2003). Fiedler was also frequently seen on television as a regular on
such shows as The Bob Newhart Show and Kolchak: The Night Stalker,
in made-for-TV movies and as a guest star on shows ranging from Armstrong
Circle Theatre (1957) to Cosby (1999). Slightly creased at upper
blank margin. Fine condition.
