Autograph Letter Signed: "John Galsworthy", 1p, 8¼x10¾. On voyage, 1930 February 11. To "Dear Sir". In full: "I am abroad, and I do not know whether I have or not received the book you speak of. Yours truly I am afraid I do not read Sermon". Lightly soiled. Worn, irregular edges. Paper loss at middle from folding. Fold creases not near signature. Otherwise, fine condition. Included addressed mailing envelope, 5¼x4¼ addressed to: "Jerrn Chalres Musek/Prague II - 188/Boheunia/Austria" Lightly worn at edges. Otherwise, fine condition. British author John Galsworthy (1867-1933) was awarded the 1932 Nobel Prize in Literature for his novels (which include The Forsyte Saga trilogy), plays and short stories. Two items.
