Autograph Letter signed: "John Galsworthy", 1 page, 4¾x7¾. Grove Lodge, London, 1929 March 20. On personal letterhead to an un-named recipient. In full: "I shall not be in Town for some time after today. I will keep your letter & consider whether there is any small manuscript I can spare for a charity. Yours truly". British author John Galsworthy (1867-1933) was awarded the 1932 Nobel Prize in Literature for his novels (which include The Forsyte Saga trilogy), plays and short stories. He was an advocate of reforms, including women's rights, animal rights, and prison conditions, and was the first President of the International PEN writers' organization. Fold crease, not near signature. Fine condition.
