John Garfield (1913-1952), born Jacob Julius Garfinkel, was one of the most respected dramatic actors of the 1930s and 1940s, earning two Academy Award nominations (Best Supporting Actor for Four Daughters, 1938, and Best Actor for Body and Soul, 1947). His other film credits include The Sea Wolf (1941), Tortilla Flat (1942), Pride of the Marines (1945), The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946) and Force of Evil (1948). Corners rounded and creased. Corners slightly frayed and torn. Toned and slightly soiled. Light surface creases. Torn and soiled on verso. Ink notes on verso in unknown hand. Otherwise, fine condition.
