Lambert, born John Harold Lambert in Mantua, Ohio in 1952, is a former NFL linebacker who played with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1974 to 1984, backing up the team's famed Steel Curtain. Initially considered to be too small for a linebacker, he nevertheless went on to win NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year during his first year and helped Pittsburgh win their first Super Bowl in 1975, at Super Bowl IX. He became defensive leader after Joe Greene and other defensive players were sidelined with injuries in 1976; after a lousy 1-4 start that year, the Steelers allowed only two touchdowns in nine games. Lambert was a Pro Bowler and All-Pro nine times and has four Super Bowl rings, from Super Bowls IX, X, XIII and XIV. He recorded 23.5 sacks during his career and 28 interceptions with 243 interception yards. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990. Fine condition.
