JOHN HART
The actor signs on a publicity photograph of himself as The Lone Ranger, writing "sincere best wishes"
Inscribed photograph signed: "To my good/friend Mike Sabots/Sincere best/wishes/John Hart/"The Lone Ranger", in black ink, B/w 8x10. American actor John Hart (1917-2009), who began his film career in 1938, starred as title character Jack Armstrong in the 1947 serial film. (He played a "scientific mastermind", and the curious device shown here is no doubt one of his inventions.) Hart is best known for starring in TV's The Lone Ranger in 52 of its early episodes (1950-1953). He also originated the role of Nat "Hawkeye" Cutler in the 1957 TV series, Hawkeye and the Last of the Mohicans. His "Hawkeye" character was also seen on the big screen in three films between 1957 and 1964. In later decades, Hart guest starred frequently on TV, including appearances in six episodes of Dallas (1979-1981). He reprised his Lone Ranger character on episodes of The Greatest American Hero (1981) and Happy Days (1982). Corners slightly worn. Fine condition.
