One of the top-grossing films of 1979, Alien won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Art Direction.British actor John Hurt (1940-2017) trained for the stage but made both his stage and film debut in 1962 (The Wild and the Willing). He was nominated for two Academy Awards during his long career, for The Elephant Man (1980) and Midnight Express (1978). His other film credits include Alien (1979), Heaven's Gate (1980), Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984), Vincent (1987), Hellboy (2004), and V for Vendetta (2005). In 2004, Hurt was awarded the Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his services to drama. Slightly creased at blank margins and corners. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Black mark at upper right margin. Label remnant affixed to verso (no show through). Fine condition.
