Best - Vanessa Brown 5/15/52". IRELAND (1914-1992, born in Vancouver, British Columbia) was an Oscar-nominated actor with almost 200 movies and TV shows to his credit. Ireland debuted as Private Windy Craven, an introspective, letter writing soldier, in 1945's A Walk in the Sun, but spent the rest of his career mostly playing heavies and brooding heroes in B-movies. He was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as reporter Jack Burden in All the King's Men (1949). BROWN (1928-1999, born in Vienna, Austria) first auditioned at 13 and became an understudy on Broadway in Watch on the Rhine (1941). Exceptionally bright, she was a regular on the radio show "Quiz Kids". She was brought to Hollywood by David O. Selznick where he cast her in several films beginning with Youth Runs Wild (1944). After several films and some stage work, she became interested in politics and was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1956. She married TV director Mark Sandrich, Jr. in 1959, had 2 children, and then appeared as a guest on dozens of television series-her last appearance was in 1990 on The Wonder Years. Brown has 2 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - one for motions pictures and one for television. Paper and adhesive residue on both sides - show through. Soiled and lightly creased.
