JACKIE WARNER
Signature of the outfielder whose hot start in the Majors was cut short by an injury
Signature: "Jackie Warner", 3x5 card. Pencil note (unknown hand) dates the signature from 1966. Right fielder John "Jackie" Warner (b. 1943) was a promising slugger in the high minors. Called up to the California Angels in 1966, he got off to a hot start, but then crashed into an outfield wall, injuring his shoulder. His hitting slumped. Warner had more good years in the AAA-level International League, but never got another shot in the Majors. Ink stamp on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
