below signature. Sir (John) Keith Waller (CBE), an Australian career
diplomat, was Ambassador to the United States (1964-1970). Relations with
Australia, always important to the US, were especially valued by President
Johnson because Australia was one of the few nations which sent combat troops to
support the US presence in Vietnam. The Waller Hills in Antarctica are named for
