Lithgow got his start in the early 1970s on Broadway. He remained in New York
for many years, establishing himself as one of Broadway's most respected stars.
Lithgow got his first real break and a Best Supporting Actor nomination when
he played macho football player-turned-sensitive woman Roberta Muldoon in The
World According to Garp. He earned a second Best Supporting Actor Oscar
nomination for Terms of Endearment. Fine condition.
