poet, novelist and dramatist John Masefield (1878-1967) served as Poet
Laureate of Great Britain from 1930 until his death. His first collection of
poetry, Salt Water Ballads, published when Masefield was only 24,
contained one of his most famous poems, "Sea Fever". Masefield is also
known for his narrative poems, including The Everlasting Mercy,
Dauber and Reyard the Fox. Soiled and worn on all edges.
