The actor signs a First Day Cover commemorating Christmas at Valley Forge.
First Day Cover signed: "John Neville", 6½x3½. FDC commemorating Christmas at Valley Forge, 13-cent stamp affixed, postmarked Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, October 21, 1977, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. British actor John Neville (1925-2011) appeared in over 80 TV shows and movies. He has had prominent film roles, often second leads, from the early 1960s (Oscar Wilde, 1960; Billy Budd (1962) to the nineties and beyond (Journey to the Center of the Earth, 1993; Hollywood North, 2003). Modern audiences probably know him best as Baron Munchausen from The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988) and as the "Well-Manicured Man" in The X-Files. He was a member of London's Old Vic Company, where he played classical roles like Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and a popular performance of Richard in Richard III. He immigrated to Canada in 1972 and, in 2006, received the Order of Canada, which is Canada's highest civilian honor. Fine condition.
