Winner of the 1982 CMA Award for Female Vocalist of the Year, Janie Fricke, born in 1952, got her professional start singing jingles for a Memphis, Tennessee radio station and as an session vocalist. She went on to become one of the most popular country artists of the 1980s, with a total of 18 top 10 hits on the Billboard Country Singles and Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts between 1977 and 1986, including the no. 1 hits On My Knees (1978), Don't Worry 'Bout Me Baby (1982), It Ain't Easy Bein' Easy (1982), He's a Heartache (Looking for a Place to Happen) (1983), Tell Me a Lie (1983), Let's Stop Talkin' About It (1984), Your Heart's Not in It (1984) and Always Have, Always Will (1986). While in college in the 1930s, JOHN RAITT began drawing portraits of famous people. He sent his artwork to each subject with a request that it be autographed and returned to him. Two horizontal folds. Slightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
