Oliver Laurence North (born October 7, 1943) is a former U.S. Marine Corps officer, political commentator and a New York Times best-selling author. He was directly involved in the Iran-Contra affair. He helped divert the money made from the sale of weapons to Iran, to support the Contra rebels in Nicaragua which was prohibited under the Boland Amendment. North was convicted of three felonies which were later vacated and dismissed due to his pre-trial public Congressional testimony about the affair. He has his own show on the Fox News Channel, War Stories with Oliver North. He co-hosted Equal a show on MSNBC and hosted his own nationally syndicated radio program Oliver North Radio Show. He has written several best-selling books including Under Fire, One More Mission, Mission Compromised, The Assassins and most recently American Heroes.While in college in the 1930s, JOHN RAITT began drawing portraits of famous people. He sent his artwork to each subject with a request that it be autographed and returned to him. Two horizontal folds. Otherwise, fine condition.
