Printed card signed in ink: "John Reger/#50", in black ink, 5x3 card. Linebacker John Reger (1931-2013) achieved a NFL's player's dream he was drafted out of the University Pittsburgh to join the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers in 1955. Granted the rare opportunity to play both collegiately and professionally in the same town, Reger starred for the Steelers for 8 seasons. In 1964 he got to return to his home state of West Virginia when he was traded to the Redskins. He finished out his career in 1966, appearing in 3 Pro Bowls in his 12 seasons. The Pittsburgh Steelers have dominated the NFL in Super Bowl titles since the Chuck Noll era of the 1970s. Coach Bill Cowher helped extend Pittsburg's leading franchise record with winning Super Bowl XL in 2005. The Steelers current coach, Mike Tomlin, has carried on the torch with Big Ben Roethlisberger, winning his first Super Bowl in 2009. Tomlin became the youngest coach in the NFL to win a Super Bowl that season. Stars of the legendary Steeler team include NFL greats Terry Bradshaw, Mean Joe Greene, Jerome "The Bus" Bettis and football's most iconic safety Troy Polamalu. In recent years, Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has made a name for himself as one of the leading receivers in league and franchise history. Fine condition.
