Actor, composer and director John Rubinstein (b. 1946) has applied his many talents to film, television, and the stage. Rubinstein began his acting career on stage, originating the role of Pippin (1973) and winning a Theatre World Award for his performance. He went on to appear in over ten more Broadway productions such as Children of a Lesser God (1980), for which he won a Drama Desk Award and a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play, and The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial (1983), for which he was nominated for another Drama Desk Award. He has had role in movies such as The Boys from Brazil (1978), Red Dragon (2002), and 21 Grams (2003) and on television series such as Desperate Housewives (2009), Parenthood (2010), and The Young and the Restless (2010). Rubinstein also is well-known for composing, orchestrating, and conducting musical scores for five feature films, most notably Jeremiah Johnson (1972) and The Candidate (1972). Corners rounded.
