Regarding California article - I think not. It's so long since I've been there that it is largely strange to me. Sorry but it's not my cup any more. I'd have to research it like any other foreigner. Besides, I'm going to rest quite a bit at Sag Harbor, I hope. But thanks for asking me." Lightly creased. ¾-inch separation at fold at blank left margin. Overall, fine condition. Vertical crease touches "7" in address, lightly tanned at top, overall fine. Steinbeck had published the last of his "California novels", Sweet Thursday, ten years earlier. NORMAN COUSINS edited the "Saturday Review" for more than a quarter of a century (1942-1971, 1973-1977). He became a best-selling author himself in chronicling his triumph over a debilitating disease through positive thinking and humor (Anatomy of an Illness, 1979). Two items.
