Johnny Evans autographs his name in black ink and offers a bible
citation from Ephesians 2:8-9, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through
faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so
that no one can boast." Extremely rare!
Trading/Sports Card signed: "Johnny Evans/EPH 2:8-9", in black
ink, 2½x3½. Johnny Evans (b. 1956) was a professional quarterback and
punter for the Cleveland Browns from 1978 to 1980. In the 48 games played
throughout his career, Evans completed 214 punts and totaled 8,463 for punt
yardage. He also played for the Canadian League from 1981 to 1984. After
retiring, Johnny Evans became a radio sportscaster for his alma mater,
The North Carolina State Wolfpack. He fathered quadruplets, two of whom went
on to play football for NC State. Slightly soiled. Edges slightly worn.
Slight dent to image from "J" in signature. Otherwise, fine condition.
